It was late one night, and my wife was well into her third trimester. We were laying in bed and too tired to pick-up a book, so she asked me to tell her baby bump a bedtime story.
At the time, she was craving sweets (particulary donuts) and so I started to tell the story of a lonely donut who felt he was missing something inside. He would then go on an adventure to fill that hole, and along the way, find his purpose while making some memorable bread friends.
My wife giggled and my son fist-bumped through her belly, and by the end I was encouraged to write this book. We even set a deadline to finish it before our boy got too old. Luckily, I was able to stick to the plan.
I hope this book brings you as much joy and laughter as it did for me creating it.
